Obscure/Abstract Things I Love

Here are some obscure and not so obscure things that I love or have developed an abnormal/unique affinity for (over time I will keep adding to this list):

cashews – especially the indian style ones that are either covered with masala and spices or the ones covered and mixed with black pepper and salt – if only cashews weren’t so damn expensive to buy!
Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) from Scrubs (her goofiness is undeniably attractive, she’s intelligent, she’s cute, speaks German, French and English fluently (courtesy of wikipedia), and she’s got a real-real job (a real job is one that makes some money, a real-real job is your career))….I could definitely see her fitting in as one of the guys (remember now, this is ALL based on her role in the TV show Scrubs – so I could actually be completely off the mark in reality, but hey, who gives a flip)…..I would definitely holla for a dolla, maybe even do something strange for some change…ya never know…ya never know…
unique people/places (I LOVE different folks and different places – the kind of shit you aren’t privy to experiencing or observing on every other street corner – life is too damn short to be doing the same damn redundant things every day – diversity, my friend, is quite underrated)
Meadow Soprano (i don’t know what it is, maybe the eyes, maybe the dark hair….she, unlike The Sopranos TV show, has gotten better over the years)
movie previews (a guilty pleasure of mine which I have no shame in divulging; I enjoy being able to preview the crappy movies I will waste money on in the near future)
Keira Knightley (there is just something provocatively attractive and appealing about her; she’s not over-the-top sexy or drop dead gorgeous, but she is still very sexy, very attractive, and has that insanely seductive British accent)
mushrooms (anybody who knows me knows this)
lemon pepper seasoning (a very, very underrated seasoning that can be thrown on almost anything)
great customer service (someone who goes above and beyond (essentially doing their JOB) – I got nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for that)
Samantha from Passport to Europe (a pretty face and a fun personality who likes to travel – can it possibly get any better than that???)
people who aren’t easily offended (can’t people just take a joke every now and then without being offended?? we are only here on this friggin’ earth for so long, enjoy it while you are here)
music without words (riding home at 4am and exposing my ears to music; nothing more, nothing less – just a subtle, smooth melodic harmony)
people who live for the moment (people who see an opportunity not taken as an opportunity wasted – life is infinitely more of a gift than a birthright for those folks)
girls who can hang with the guys and aren’t too girly girly (do you REALLY need to put on makeup for every single activity of your life???)
paneer
(any wedding without this delicious Indian delicacy is lacking)
the innocent, mundane moments of life where all you do is scratch your ass
(some of the best moments I enjoy with my peoples is when we are seated around a table lollygagging, being ridiculous, and thoroughly acting an uncivilized fool – a lot more fun that it sounds)
honesty (i’d rather you be rude and speak your mind then to be polite and let your true feelings go unnoticed – why risk being polite and cause confusion when you can be blunt, honest and leave no doubt in anyone’s mind as to where you stand??? I will never understand this about people. Why are people so afraid to openly disagree with others?? Cmon peoples, we aren’t in high school anymore.)
the fact that my grandma is over eighty years old but doesn’t need any help from anyone (if only I could be that lucky at that age)
eating outside (sipping on a margarita and snacking on some chips and salsa while seated outside in the cool summer breeze – don’t I paint such a pretty picture?? A regular Da Vinci masterpiece)
falafels and crepes (i could eat a falafel every damn day and not be tired of it)
